The Central Coast of California and SLO County may be known for it's dynamic and thriving wine scene, but folks around here know that it takes a lot of beer to make great wine. So, not only do we produce a fair amount of tasty and flavorful frosty beverages, but we celebrate them as well.

Kick off the Memorial weekend on California's Central Coast by kicking off your shoes and raising a glass of beer. The 30th Anniversary of The California Festival of Beers, or as locals call it--Beer Fest--runs through the weekend. From its humble roots that began in a parking lot, Beer Fest has grown it one of the largest and oldest beer festivals. Attendees come from all over California to enjoy sampling beers and enjoy the perfect weather of the Central Coast.

All proceeds from Beer Fest benefit Hospice San Luis Obispo, a non-profit grief counseling organization. So, join the crowd and enjoy food, entertainment, and most importantly--beer.

And if you think you might like to stay a bit longer than the weekend, start here -
