I recently sold a house in Atascadero in one day—actually, in just a few hours. In fact, within minutes of publishing the virtual tour showcasing the property, my phone was ringing. No surprise, because Atascadero homes for sale are quick to catch the eyes of interested buyers.

This property was on the Westside of Atascadero and had a lot to offer a buyer, including, stunning views, privacy, and well-planned upgrades that added excellent value to the home.

Selling features aside, the real trick to getting your home on the market and under contract quickly is to follow a few simple rules:

List your home with an established and professional Realtor®: There’s value in working with an experienced Realtor® who knows what to do to quickly list your property and get showings. And, an experience Realtor® knows people—other agents and clients who might be looking for your home.

Ditch the clutter: Once you’ve made the decision to sell your home, it’s time to de-clutter and remove as many personalized touches as possible—family photos, knickknacks—anything that may signal you’re not ready to leave. A buyer has to be able to envision themselves living in the home and making it their own.

Spend a little money: For just a few dollars and the investment of time, you can touch up the paint and trim, add to the landscaping, and replace simple items that are showing wear—think faucet fixtures, switch plates, door hardware—even address numbers. Add a new coat of paint to the front door and a welcome mat to make an even better first impression.

As a Realtor®, my experience and expertise were key to getting this home under contract quickly and into escrow, but I couldn’t have done so as swiftly without the help of a motivated seller. The seller was ready to move on and her hard work in de-cluttering personal belongings and investing in paint and minor repairs was key in making the deal come together.

If you’re ready to sell your home in Atascadero, let me help you by getting it on the market and ready for showings. Working with a Realtor® who is knowledgeable about the area and can help you market your property is the first step to take in realizing your dream. Call me today to find out what your property is worth.

Atascadero was founded in 1914 by publisher and real estate visionary, E.G. Lewis. Atascadero, California, was originally established as a colony, where residents would live and farm on one acre parcels of land. Today, Atascadero is known as family friendly with small town charm. There are many historic buildings in use today, including the Carlton Hotel, and the recently renovated Rotunda that houses City Hall.
