In 2013, Paso Robles was named Wine Region of the Year by Wine Enthusiast Magazine, a hats off to the creativity and craftsmanship of our local winemakers and a distinction that put the Paso Robles Wine Region on the map for wine lovers everywhere. California’s Central Coast is host to numerous wine festivals and wine events throughout the course of the year and this weekend, both locals and tourists will be attending The 3rd Annual Paso Wine BlendFest on the coast, in Cambria.

The event is an opportunity to local Paso Robles winemakers to show off their blends, but attendees will have a chance to try their hand at creating their own blends, too. The weekend event kicks off with a Winemaker Dinner at Robin’s Restaurant in Cambria with seven Paso Robles winemakers pairing their blends with a specially prepared menu to best show off the wines. On Saturday, there will be a Grand Blend Tasting and afterward, on Sunday, a friendly competition where attendees will learn about creating blends and then work to create a blend of their own. The weekend event promises to be informative and fun for all, whether you know a great deal about wine, or are just beginning to explore with your palate.

The Paso Robles Wine Region is well-known for the nearly 200 wineries that call the area home. Vineyard properties, both small and large, are the focus of investors and winemakers who come to the area with the purpose of growing grapes and bottling their own wines. The area has diverse growing climates and soil and draws vinters from all over California and beyond. Vineyard properties have become increasingly popular over the last several years, especially in Paso Robles Wine Country.

If you’ve always dreamed of making wine, buying a vineyard property in Paso Robles Wine Country can be the first step in accomplishing your goal. Working with a Realtor® who has expert knowledge in vineyard properties and who can understand buying property with the intention of growing grapes, is invaluable. If you’re interested in buying a vineyard property, set up your search today to see what vineyard and land properties are available. There’s never been a better time to own a vineyard in Paso Robles Wine County. Before you know it, you’ll be at work on your wine project and who knows—soon enough, you might be pouring your own blend at The Paso Robles BlendFest.
