Why I Love The Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival

We all know that the weather is one of the best reasons to be on the Central Coast of California; but did you know that we also get a taste of the change in the seasons here? One of my favorite times of year is the end of summer and the beginning of a busy and bountiful harvest. The whole area comes alive with bright colors, crisp mornings and the clear light of fall.  There is a burst of activity in the vineyards, fields and orchards all around San Luis Obispo County and the change of seasons is underway.

Come celebrate with a few of your fall favorites in the Village of Arroyo Grande on Saturday, September 23rd and Sunday, September 24th for the Arroyo Grande Valley Harvest Festival 2017. This will be the 80th year of the festival and each year it seems to get bigger and better.

You can look forward to the Harvest Festival parade, homegrown fruit, flower and vegetable growing contest, wheelbarrow races, spelling bee; and of course the Weiner Dog races. If you’re looking for something fun and easy to do that’s family friendly, the AG Harvest Festival is definitely something you don’t want to miss.

Arroyo Grande is one of the most popular real estate markets on the Central Coast and a wonderful community to live in. With great weather, small town atmosphere, world class wineries, fun restaurants and exciting golf courses – life is pretty good in AG!
